Fees & Funding

Fees & Funding

You may be eligible to receive financial assistance from the UK Government to cover your tuition fees and living expenses while studying at university. The available funding options include:

  1. Tuition Fee Loans: These loans cover your UK-based university tuition fees and are not income-assessed.
  2. Maintenance Loans: Partly income-assessed, these loans are intended to help with the cost of living while you study.
  3. Supplementary Grants: Available to students with specific personal circumstances or needs, these grants offer additional financial support.

What you need to know

You may be able to borrow money from the UK Government to help pay your tuition fees and to help with your living costs while studying at university.

The funding options currently available are:

  • Tuition fee loans. These loans are not income-assessed and are used to pay your UK-based university tuition fees.
  • Maintenance loans. These loans are partly income-assessed and can be used to help with the cost of living.
  • Supplementary grants. These grants are limited to students with specific personal circumstances or needs.

Loans, grants and funding

We have a team of dedicated Student Engagement Managers and Student Welfare Managers, who can help you identify any funding options you’re eligible for, as well as guide you through the Student Finance application process.

If you choose to access the Government’s tuition fee loan, you won’t need to pay your tuition fees up-front and you’ll only start repaying the loan when you’re earning a certain amount.

You can find out more about the scheme at gov.uk/student-finance.
