SIRM hosted an Open Day on 16th Nov 2017 at SIRM campus for local job seekers and staff from Work Redbridge who are doing a great job at helping local residents to get into training and work. We invited them all to come and find out about our Level 4 Apprenticeship in Cyber Security which is a recognised qualification from the British Computer Society.  We already have 27 apprentices in a work placement and studying with us. Today’s candidates were interested in joining our second cohort which starts early next year. The apprenticeship provides a fantastic opportunity to “Learn and Earn” in a career where there is a huge skills gap so jobs are easy to find and salaries are generous. The apprenticeship lasts 15 months and offers access to further professional development. We welcome applications from employers, employees and unemployed people seeking training in cyber security. The government will be bringing in penalties against organisations which don't take sufficient measures to protect against cyber-attacks, so training is vital. For more information contact Margaret Daly on 020 7078 7029 or email Margaret at m.daly@sirm.ac.uk.
