SIRM attended the Redbridge Job Fair on 14 September 2017 to promote apprenticeship scheme in Cyber Security to local residents. The job fair is an annual drop in event which offers training providers like SIRM the opportunity to promote their training courses and for employers to advertise vacancies.  Local residents can connect with employers, gain some job hunting tips and learn more about upskilling.

The range of visitors was quite diverse; from young people trying to get on the job ladder to more mature people seeking career changes or new opportunities. It was very busy and we were swamped with interested visitors.  We were lucky enough to meet several people who expressed a keen interest in the apprenticeship and we will be following this up.  There were a large number of other companies and organisations attending who aim to get people into work.  Some of these organisations work towards helping disadvantaged people into the workplace.  We really appreciated the chance to play a part in helping local people to find out more about training and job opportunities in cyber security.  Our thanks to Redbridge Council for organising this event and we look forward to the next one.
