What is this diploma about?

This diploma enables you to obtain the critical knowledge for electrical installation and also helps you to learn the necessary skills. This diploma does not require prior industrial knowledge it is suitable for people who are beginners in this field. This qualification has been adapted from the apprenticeship framework of the QCF Diploma, hence this qualification is recognized all over the industry. It teaches our students to learn the installation and testing of electrical equipment in a safe and secure environment. This diploma also includes the relevant theories of electrical installation according to the latest edition of the wiring guidelines. Our students also have the opportunity to utilize BS 7671 to acquire some units and also get a good understanding of electrical science and principles.

units

What does it cover?

The diploma has both compulsory and elective units.

Compulsory units include:

  • electrical installation design
  • environmental technology systems 
  • electrical science and principles
  • electrical installation craft
  • inspection, testing, commissioning
  • identifying and amending electrical faults.

Elective units include:

  • learning to supervise and organize the workplace
  • requirements of BS7671:2008 (2011)
  • learning about solar photovoltaic systems on a small scale.

This qualification also teaches health and safety tips for this industry in some specific units.

The assessment includes examinations, theoretical assignments, and practical assessments
